A two-frame radial white flash that hides the cut, then drains away on a red and blue chromatic fringe while the incoming shot kicks in
This is the format it was composed for. Switch above to see it lay itself out for another: same animation, re-arranged for the frame.
Everything below can be changed without touching the animation. Hand the list to an agent, or edit the values at the bottom of the component file.
Where the flash peaks and the cut hides, as a fraction of the 2 second clip. The two white frames land here and the scene switches between them. 0.5 puts them on frame 30; line it up with the cut in your edit.

Where the light comes from. Center reads as a camera flash going off in the shot. Left or right reads as light swinging in from off frame, and turns the colour fringe vertical so both colours stay on screen.

White is the classic flash. Accent tints the light with the brand's accent colour for a branded hit. The fringe stays red and blue either way, because it is the lens and not the brand.
now: white
Peak strength. 1 blows the centre fully white on the two peak frames; 0.9 keeps a trace of the picture under it; below 0.5 it is a flicker rather than a cut.

Zoom kick on the incoming shot, as a fraction of its size, settling in about half a second. 0.03 to 0.06 is the range the platforms use; 0 turns it off. It moves the staged shot only, so over your own footage give your incoming clip the same scale.

Draw the stand-in shots, a sneaker on a lit plinth cutting to the same sneaker worn on a night street, so the flash can be judged doing its job. A demo backing, not part of the effect: switch it off to lay the flash over your own cut.

Paint the plain brand ground behind the flash. Off by default: with the stand-in off as well, the flash renders on a clean alpha channel and drops straight over your own footage.

I cut sneaker ads for TikTok and YouTube and I want the flash transition everyone uses: two frames of white light bursting out of the middle of the shot, the cut hidden under it, then the light draining away with that red and blue colour fringe you get from a lens, and a quick zoom kick on the next clip. Let me pick where the light comes from and whether it is white or my brand colour, and it has to come out transparent so I can drop it over my own cut. Show it going from a product shot on a plinth to the shoe on someone's foot in the street.
