Motion design categories

The registry is split by the job a component does in a cut, not by the technique it uses. A category is the answer to “what is this shot for” — which is the question you have when you are assembling a sequence, and the one an agent has to answer before it can pick anything. Hover a row to watch that category’s representative clip.

The clip shown on hover is chosen by measurement rather than by hand: each rendered preview is scored on inter-frame motion, tonal spread and content coverage, and the highest-scoring clip in each category represents it. See scripts/rank-showcase.mjs.
