A mountain range at dusk is pushed out by a city at night, each built from four depth planes that travel at honest parallax rates, with motion blur on the near planes at peak speed
This is the format it was composed for. Switch above to see it lay itself out for another: same animation, re-arranged for the frame.
Everything below can be changed without touching the animation. Hand the list to an agent, or edit the values at the bottom of the component file.
Which way the picture travels. 'left' pushes the mountains off the left edge and brings the city in from the right, as a camera trucking right would; 'right' is the mirror image.
now: left
Parallax strength. 0 moves every plane together, which is a flat slide; 1 nearly pins the sky and far planes while the near planes cross the whole frame. 0.8 to 1 reads as a real camera move.
now: 0.9
Motion blur on the near planes and the seam, where 1 is a physically correct 180-degree shutter sampled from the move itself. 0 turns it off; above 1.5 the near trees and rooftops go to streaks at peak speed.

Place name burnt into the outgoing mountain scene, lower corner. Empty string hides it.

Small line above the outgoing place name: a vlog day, a time, an altitude.

Place name burnt into the incoming city scene. Empty string hides it.

Brand token id. Dark brands with a pale accent and a warm third colour suit the dusk and night skies best.

A push transition for a travel vlog that feels like the camera is moving through space, not like one picture sliding over another. Go from mountains at dusk to a city at night. Build each scene in layers, far peaks, a ridge, trees up close, and for the city far towers, mid buildings, rooftops and a street lamp, and make the far layers move less than the near ones. Blur the near layers sideways only while it's moving fast, and put a place name and day on each side like a vlog would.
